Just received these photos and comments from a very happy Strider mom:

The long cold winter here in Rapid City, South Dakota has us riding our bikes inside. We’ve set up a few obstacles in the warehouse here at Strider Sports and my sons and I are having some fun. Check out the versatility of the Strider… from Bode (nearly 6 years old) having fun doing tricks to Jesse (just over 2 years old) increasing his balance, coordination, and gross motor skills… or should I say motorCYCLE skills… Look out Pee Wee Motocross!
This was a fun little comment we received the other day. Interestingly, it is not the first time we’ve heard from parents that their little ones have become so attached to their Strider running bikes that they want to take them to bed!
I am very impressed with my daughters bike. She turned 2 on March 3, she did not even have her bike for 24 hrs and was riding it down small hills and balancing like a pro. All the other moms were very impressed. She loves it and even has to park it in her bedroom at night when she goes to bed.

Malcolm Smith, Team Strider rider, visited an orphanage in Pena Blanca with mom and dad for 5 days. Along with his own Strider training bike, he took down a Strider bike as a donation to La Casita de Feliz (The Little House of Happiness), where the youngest kids and babies of the orphanage live (La Casita kids are 15 months to 4 years old). Even though the kids were being treated for malnourishment, they were excited and eager to throw a leg over the bike and go for a ride. They were so happy to get the bike, and so well mannered about taking turns and helping each other learn how to ride. Before leaving, Malcolm decided to donate his own bike too so that there would be two bike and more little kids could ride. Besides, it takes at least two bikes to make a race!
Malcolm Smith started riding his Strider balance bike at 19 months old. His dad had decided to get a Strider bike because it had the lowest seat height and lightest weight and could grow with Malcolm for a few years. Malcolm first started on the sloped driveway in front of his house. Within a week, he was already coasting down the driveway and starting to ride over obstacles in the barn. Over the next 3 months, Malcolm learned how to ride trials-style over rocks and logs, run down long, steep downhills, ride park-style over ramps and teeter-totters, and do some skilled riding under the careful supervision of his dad (check out Malcolm riding his bike down a 7″ wide beam). Malcolm and his dad have shared many amazing experiences and memories with Strider bikes, and they look forward to great rides waiting in the future. Malcolm’s dad, Steve Smith, is an avid dirt bike rider/racer in North Carolina and Malcolm is already getting familiar with the racing ’scene’ as he cruises the pits of the GNCCs and motocross races on his Strider running bike. Welcome aboard Team Strider, Malcolm!
When we first purchased the Strider Bike for my son (17 months old) my husband and I were a nervous wreck. We are now very grateful for the Strider. Our son has grown the last 11 months into this bike. Last summer I even emailed and asked for training wheels or something for the bike…..my son was having a hard time with it. I’m glad that I got a response saying to let the child explore the bike on his own. You told me to lay it on its side and when he’s ready, he will pick it up or want to ride it. To make a long story short, my son is now 28 months old and truly has grown into his bike. It doesn’t matter if the bike is indoors or out, he has to ride it. This bike has taught him about balance and band aids!
Again, I can’t thank you guys enough for creating these bikes. I recommend them to all parents. I highly recommend them for all children 1+.
Thanks,
Sarah
This is a fun little video of my son Bode playing on his Strider running bike. This really showcases the fact that our unique, LaunchPad(tm) frame-integrated footrests of the Strider allow a child to learn an entire new set of skills beyond just balancing on two wheels… to ride standing up, to pull wheelies, to fall in love with ALL the fun that two wheels can offer. We are realizing that the more obstacles and tricks that a child can ride on, the more their brains get engaged in the activity and the longer they’ll stay involved. If the activity gets boring, they’ll seek a different activity… video games, TV, etc. With the Strider being so capable of going off-road, riding obstacles, and doing tricks, it keeps kids engaged; learning, developing, exercising!
Strider Running Bikes

The Strider running bike is a balance bike designed specifically for one to five year old children and up to 50 lbs. Unlike the traditional training bicycle, the Strider running bike has no pedals, chain or sprockets and needs no training wheels. The Strider running bike is actually an amazing educational vehicle, their coordination, motor skills, balance and strength will improve as your child experiments with walking the bike.
With no adult prodding or pushing, a curious child will straddle his or her Strider running bike and immediately begin the learning process. Coordination, motor skills and strength will improve as your child experiments with walking the bike. You will see self-confidence quickly grow in your new rider. In a few short weeks even the youngest rider will be able to steer and balance the Strider running bike, lift it over obstacles, and move along varied terrain. Soon those first timid steps will become longer and longer strides as your child learns to propel the Strider running bike at greater speeds. It won’t be long before the Strider running bike will mobilize your youngster like nothing else. Soon, you will be able to go for regular walks in the park, down a dirt road, or even a forest trail, places a training-wheeled bike, trike or stroller could never go.
The Strider running bike teaches children balance and coordination in a secure learning situation. The bike’s low seating allows children to place both feet firmly on the ground, providing them confidence and control. The seat can be adjusted from 11 inches to 16 inches to acoommodate the needs of your growing child. The bike’s light weight, less than 7 pounds, adds to this feeling of control. It even has puncture-proof, foam tires; it can go over any terrain – rocks, grass, logs, not just a paved bike path. The Strider running bike can be ridden in the yard, on the bike path, in the woods, virtually anywhere you walk.

From Sasha Forsyth:
Even girls who will only wear dresses love their Strider bikes! Thank you so much for making a safe and fun bike. We got ours after witnessing her 3 year old friend break her arm falling off a two-wheeler with training wheels.
